Which affiliate programs are best and how do you choose which to join?
Here are some criteria we use to determine which we like.
Good Conversion Rate This simply means your visitors are likely to make a purchase. A good conversion is 3%.
Good commission Commissions vary by product type. We believe 25% is the minimum; however, smaller percentages should always be considered for larger average purchases.
Long cookies Long cookies - This is how long after you send a visitor to the site, they can buy and you'll still get credit.
Promotional Tools The best ones are those that provide their affiliates with banners, buttons, articles, ebooks, and more ways to convert those visitors to customers.
Recurring commission These are programs where you get paid month after month (or for sales made after the original sale.
Good stats Always choose a program that offers stats & reporting that you can check. This helps you track how well the program is converting.
